A few months ago, the lovely people over at Popcorn Shed sent over a huuuuge box of their gourmet popcorn for me to try out & test on my blog. I’m a total lover of popcorn and snacks in general, so this was right up my street. I’ve finally gotten round to finishing all of the bags they sent (I didn’t eat them all myself, although I was very tempted), and so thought it was about time to write up a little something about what I thought of Popcorn Shed!
WHAT DID I TRY & MY FAVOURITES
Popcorn Shed sent me six bags of their popcorn, and two bigger boxes, in these flavours:
- Salted Caramel
- Pop n’ Choc
- Butterly Nuts
- Pecan Pie
- Say Cheese!
- Sweet Cheesus
My favourite flavour out of them all has got to be the salted caramel flavour – it was amazing. It really reminded me of the toffee popcorn you could get as a child (probably still can get but I haven’t seen it in ages), except it tasted waaay better. Luckily, one of the bigger boxes was filled with salted caramel popcorn so I was in luck.
The pecan pie flavour & chocolate ones were amazing too, and my Dad really enjoyed the cheese ones. I personally wasn’t a massive fan of the berry flavours, although I think they would be really cool to use on top of cakes or something – I still have some left so I may try out some baking with them.
I also really liked how they’re not just your average little bags of popcorn; not only are they really flavourful, but they’ve got little bits of chocolate and nuts in some of the packets. They’re handmade and they seem really authentic & thought through as flavours & as a product.
Probably my favourite bit about the popcorn from Popcorn Shed is their gorgeous packaging. The little packets are really high quality and the colours are lovely, plus they’re the perfect size to throw in your bag for school, but I really loved the bigger packs. The popcorn comes packaged in little sheds, which is just adorable – I was tempted to keep the packaging to try and display it in my bedroom. The colours are so pretty, and it really adds to the whole experience of eating the popcorn!
