I recently came back from beautiful Majorca, where I’d been for a four day break after my GCSE exams. We had an amazing time, despite the very delayed (8 hours delayed) plane on the way back which resulted in a very sleepy and grumpy Sophie who had been awake since 2am, and I made sure to take lots of pictures of my outfits! This post was requested over a ‘travel diaries’ style post before I went away, so I decided not to spam my blog too much with holiday stuff, and only do one post on my holidays, that being my outfits!
Thought I’d throw in a picture of the beach because it looks so gorgeous there, and right now I’d rather like to be back!
I’ve actually never really done a fashion themed post on this blog before, but it’s definitely something I’d like to get into doing more. As a pre warning, I’m not the most fashionable of people and tend to look extremely awkward in most of the pictures, so excuse that!
I’m not going to go by days (partly because I can’t remember what I wore and when) and I’m not showing all outfits, just a few of my favourite ones.
Pin this please!
I wore this black dress from Hollister for one of my outfits on the trip, and I really liked it! It’s really comfy and was also so cheap in the sale last year – I think I picked it up for around £10. I love how black looks with a tan (although clearly I’m lacking one here, and through most of the photos!). It also has quite a flattering neckline I think, and would suit lots of people. Sadly, I don’t think it’s available in Hollister anymore but this one is really similar – it has a different neckline & it’s in a wrapped style, however. My sunglasses are from Jack Wills and I grabbed them in the airport as I didn’t actually have a pair! I really liked wearing them, they actually fit on top of my head (which is a rarity as I have a pretty big head) which was good as I wore them on there lots to keep my hair out of my face – long hair annoys me so much in hot weather!
I wore this outfit when we walked down to the harbour, which was so nice! It’s a navy romper from Hollister (you can buy it here) with flowers on the top bit, which is also made in a smocked fabric. I really like wearing rompers because it’s an easy one piece outfit, and while it gives you the cute look of a dress, you get the convince of wearing shorts (no need to worry about any pesky winds blowing up your skirt!). I wore sandals from Next, which are so comfy and easy to walk in, and the same pair of Jack Wills sunglasses as the last outfit!
The third outfit is probably my favourite & most worn, and it’s my swimsuit I wore on holiday! I’m usually such a bikini type of girl, but since I’ve realised I don’t really tend to tan much, I’ve been nearly converted to a swimming costume. This one is from Jack Wills (buy it here) and I love it so much. I like how the tie on the top and the cutouts make it more interesting, and it has a really low back. I love the red and navy colour blocking on it, and it’s super comfy! If you tan/burn really badly, then you’d have to be careful and watch for tan lines though, as it has some interesting cut outs! Again, I paired this with my Jack Wills sunglasses. Excuse the bobbles around my wrist – this was probably the only time during the day where I’d not had my hair up all holiday, and it went swiftly back on top of my head in a very messy bun afterwards!
I don’t have any decent pictures of this dress, so you’ll have to deal with this one – although, that pizza was so gooood so I’m not really complaining! Also, that glass of lemon Fanta was my drink of choice on holiday and I can never seem to find it in the UK (it’s safe to say I miss it every time I come home from a holiday!). For this outfit, I wore a minty-blue lacy off the shoulder dress, again from Hollister. I got it around a year ago so it’s not on the website anymore, which is a shame. I love this dress – it’s super comfy and flowy, and the colour is so pretty. The lacy fabric is really cute and always gives me serious holiday vibes! Again, sunglasses up on my head to try get my hair out of my face, and I believe I wore the same next sandals from the second outfit with this!
I’m honestly craving that pizza so badly while writing this!
That’s this post done! I hope you all enjoyed reading it, because I really enjoyed writing it. I’m not sure how useful it will be to you in terms of inspiration, but even if it was just a look at some nice holiday pictures! Make sure to follow me on my Instagram, @lovesophblog_ as I’m still posting holiday snaps on there (not sure I’ll ever stop to be honest!) and you can see some more of my outfits!
