I’ve recently been sent some new goodies from Brodie & Stone, which I’ve been trying over the past week and absolutely LOVING! I figured I’d definitely share them on here with you all as they most certainly deserve a review. This is not the last of these products that you’ll be seeing over on my blog though – some of the skincare products have become a firm favourite of mine and when I do an updated skincare routine, you’ll be seeing them there.
The first few bits (and the most exciting for me) were sent from the brand T-Zone, which I was really looking forward to trying. I’ve been trying out some of their charcoal and bamboo range, and they did not disappoint! Having never tried any activated charcoal products from any brand before, nevermind T-Zone, I was slightly dubious about the effect they would have on my skin; I have quite dry skin which isn’t very sensitive, but I always tend to go for gentler products, or at least ones which are more moisturising. I have, however, completely fallen in love with all these products and I’m finding them really great for giving my skin a deep cleanse.
I’m going to start with the nose pore strips, which may confuse some of you long time readers, because you’ll probably remember my ‘ugh! Nose pore strips are THE WORST’post from this time last year, when I tried out T-Zone’s tea tree and witch hazel strips. It was safe to say that I really didn’t get along with them, however my opinion has definitely changed. The first thing I did to help myself with these strips was to actually read the packaging, meaning that when I used the strips they actually stuck down to my nose properly! My only problem would be that they do leave a little bit of residue behind when you pull them up, but nothing that can’t be fixed with some micellar water! When I pulled it up from my nose, it was very sticky but not painful to remove and it definitely made my nose feel a lot smoother, and after a few uses I can definitely see that it’s unclogging my pores quite nicely.
Next up are the face wipes, which I’ve really been enjoying. I don’t use face wipes to remove my makeup as they’ve always been a little bit too harsh for me, however if I’m feeling a bit too lazy to cleanse my face on a day with no makeup, then a quick swipe with one of these before I go to bed is always a great option! They have charcoal in them too, which makes me feel like they do a much better job at a deeper cleanse, and they’re black wipes! I’ve personally never seen this before but I found it so interesting, and probably a little more exciting than I should have!
Finally is the face wash, which has now become a new staple face wash for me! Again, it’s a charcoal wash and it stays in my shower where I use it every day. It makes my face feel squeaky clean and gives it a really good deep cleanse; I will admit that it’s ever so slightly drying so I have to use a pretty good moisturiser with it, although that doesn’t bother me because I’m always slathering moisturiser all over my face! The packaging on all of these products is really modern and sleek; the black and pink work so nicely together. Not only are they amazing quality, but they’re also really affordable, ranging from £2.99-£4.99 each which is great value!
Next up, Brodie & Stone sent Natural World’s hydration and shine weightless hair oil. It uses coconut water, and if you’ve read this post, then you’ll know I’m obsessed with the benefits of coconut! I recently got a pretty decent chop off my hair, and I’m making a conscious effort to try keep my hair in a nicer, healthier state. I’ve been loving hair oils at the moment, so this arrived just in time and I’ve been using it loads! After I wash my hair, I run a little through it whilst it’s damp and it feels a load healthier and softer. The packaging for this hair oil is really nice; it’s a clear glass tube and the label is really modern; it feels really luxurious to use it although sometimes the lid does pop off a little which isn’t ideal, however it’s always stood up on the side in my bathroom so it’s not really an issue. You may see a bit of a running theme through this post – but this is another bargain! For the 25ml bottle, it’s only £1.98, which is amazing considering it is so good!
The final thing Brodie & Stone sent was the Janina Ultra White teeth whitening strips; I’ve never tried teeth whitening and while I’m yet to use these, so can’t really offer any opinion on them yet, they do look really interesting and I’ll be sure to let everyone know how I get on with them.
I hope you all enjoyed reading this very long rambling post! Keep your eyes peeled for these products around my blog in some posts which are soon to appear! Have you tried any of these products?
