Firstly, I’d like to apologise for two study with soph posts this week and two collabs (you can read Wednesdays post here – I’m shameless). I’m really sorry if this isn’t the sort of posts you enjoy reading on here, but thats whats happening this week; stick around until next week for some posts which aren’t about studying (I promise!)
Anyway, today I’m doing a collab (if you hadn’t already guessed) with the wonderful Najida from Life as Najida! I’m SO happy to be collabing with her – to say I’ve known her for quite a while and we still haven’t collabed is a little weird, but we’re doing it now!
Today I’ll be sharing with you some work I got done over the weekend and what I achieved. I love to watch Study With Me videos on YouTube, and I think it would be great if they were more common as blog posts! Beware, there is lots of homework and catch up work as opposed to hardcore revision, but I had quite a lot to do as I missed some work from being ill and even in Year 11, the homework NEVER STOPS! You’d think they might be nice and give us a bit of a break!
Today I didn’t really get much done other than maths – it was very boring but it was a necessary evil. I did two maths papers to see how I scored, more just as practice to see what was going on with my maths brain. I’m trying to train it to actually work, but for whatever reason (and it REALLY annoys me!) I seem to have a huge mental block on maths and have done forever.
I started off Sunday by making myself a big to do list. I always find these so helpful when I have a lot to do, even if I know I’m not really going to get all of it done, it’s helpful to have everything laid out so I can tick them off when I’m finished.
10.30AM – 11AM
I started off my day by doing my highest priority task which was my English speech. I’ve written and edited it all but I now had to learn it for the week ahead, which was such fun. I transferred parts of it onto cue cards, and recorded myself saying it on a voice recorder so I could get a feel of the timings, my pace (I have a horrible habit of speaking way too fast) and how it sounded. I plan on continually rehearsing it and listening to it as much as possible!
11AM – 12PM
I did my geography catch up from the lesson I’d missed and some homework from geography for an hour. It’s safe to say that I found this very boring!
I took a short break from working so that I could eat and just relax as I was pretty bored by geography. I then moved onto History and made some Elizabeth notes and started looking at the information for our environmental study of Hardwick Hall.
I’m sorry this Study With me was a little short and doesn’t actually look that productive; I had a really busy weekend and wasn’t actually feeling too well but I’m glad I managed to get some work done. Did you enjoy this post? Remember to check out Najida’s blog post too!
