Hi there everyone!
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and ate a lot of food; I know I have and I’m thoroughly feeling the need for a post-Christmas detox (she says, as she munches on christmas chocolates whilst writing!). However, Christmas isn’t over and done with yet because I’m here to share with you my What I Got For Christmas 2017 and share some bits I picked up in the boxing day sales. I apologise I didn’t manage to get this up on boxing day, I was travelling back from the north all day as that is where we spent Christmas, and by the time we got home it was dark and I was more than ready for a rest from it all and so took it easy all night and chilled. Spending Christmas in a hotel was weird to say the least however overall I truly enjoyed christmas and I am beyond grateful for all the gifts and well wishes I received! If I didn’t wish you a merry christmas on the day, I hope you had an excellent one regardless and if you’re not a celebrator of Christmas then I hope your day was a positive one spent with those who you love. Anyway, I’ll just get into the post!
Disclaimer: I’m only doing one of these as I know these sorts of posts/videos are growing very unpopular this year. If you don’t want to read this then please just click out now and I’ll see you in the new year with some brand new blog content. I do these posts because they are requested and I enjoy writing them and reading other peoples. In no way do I intend to come off as spoilt, ungrateful or materialistic through this post as that isn’t a message I’d want to convey. I really am so happy and grateful for all of the gifts I have generously been given. I hope you enjoy this post and I do not want to offend anybody by writing it.
Now … Onto The Presents!
The first presents I opened were from my secret santa at school (thank you so so much!!) and I opened them on the last day of term, the 20th of December. I got two chocolate oranges, which have been absolutely gobbled down already and were thoroughly enjoyed. The next presents were amazing, and literally the best things ever; she bought me some mildliners and A TANGLE TEEZER!! The mildliners are so beautiful and honestly, the tangle teezer is insane and I can brush my tangly hair properly again!!
On Christmas morning my parents got me loads of lovely presents which I’d already chosen out with my mum, and they also gave me money to spend throughout the sales and the year which I bought some great things with. I’ll go through all the clothes they got me first, and I apologise for the pictures as I can’t take pictures of clothes to save my life. Plus, lighting and December is the worst.
The first item of clothing was a beautiful navy body warmer/gilet from Jack Wills – it’s so cosy and I love wearing it. It has such a nice tartan printed inside and it’s just lovely and I’m so happy to have it! The next couple of bits of clothing were also from Jack Wills and it was a beautiful burgundy jumper and white shirt which I’ve worn together today and they are so cosy and festive!
They also got me a purse as I really needed a new one; this is also from Jack wills and it’s so pretty and it matches my school bag. The print is basically my favourite ever and this is such a gorgeous purse, I’m now so organised in here it’s unreal! I also got a new Real Techniques Beauty Blender as mine is basically ruined with concealer stains, so a new one is ace. I also got some fairy lights and they’re ones that hang from the ceiling so I’m going to hang them over my bed in my net-thing I have over it (sounds really appealing, I know).
The final few bits from my parents were stationary related bits. I’ve been lusting over this planner in hobbycraft for ages and they got me it which was amazing, it’s so great and I’ve already written all my dates in and started planning! I also got a cat calendar and diary which is ace as calendars are super helpful for exams (low-key can’t wait to cross all my mocks off my calendar this january) and my cat diary is something I’ll use to track homework and revision to do lists and stuff. Plus, it’s cats which are my favourite things ever so it just makes me happy!
My grandparents got me some money too which went towards my purchases in the boxing day sales and I’m very very grateful for that. Thank you so much!
One of my grandparents also bought me some amazing bits of makeup and skincare stuff. The first thing I got was the Too Faced Born This Way foundation in the shade ivory, and I also got the Benefit Roller Lash mascara. I haven’t used the foundation before so I’m really excited to try it out! They also bought me the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish starter kit which is amazing and having tried it out I’ve found it so so amazing at removing my makeup. I also got some bits from No7 in this beautiful bag, they’re lipsticks and glosses and in some beautiful shades which I haven’t got in my collection, and some Max Factor makeup which came in this lovely gold bag and was a primer, eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick which has a bit of a metallic look to it and it looks so amazing. I also got some chocolate from thorntons and a chocolate santa. Thank you so much to my grandparents because these bits of makeup are so amazing and I can’t wait to use them over the next few days!
My auntie got me some pyjama bottoms from White Stuff and they’re so festive; they’ve got a navy background and lovely penguins and rabbits and dogs and other cute animals dressed all festive on them and a red velvety ribbon to tie them up. They are so lovely and I’m wearing them now, they’re the cosiest thing! The picture is from the website as I couldn’t get a picture of them that looked good!
So, after all of these presents (which I LOVE and I’m super grateful for, thank you to all of my family and friends!) I went to the hotel we were staying at on Christmas day evening, and after having a lovely lovely nights sleep in a huge comfy bed, I woke up on boxing day and went shopping early doors in Leeds. I only went to a few shops because there weren’t actually that many that I wanted anything from, Topshop is something I used to like as a shop but I never find things in there look very nice on me anymore. I did go into Hollister though, and picked up this grey long sleeved top which I already have in burgundy and wear all of the time, and I also got a really nice cardigan which has a mixed wool sort of apperance!
The next shop I went into was paperchase and I picked up a couple of postcards for my postcards wall (you can see a DIY of that here) which have cats on them but I won’t show them as they’re a bit pointless and they’re already up on my wall.
I went into Jack Wills and had been looking for a coat for ages but couldn’t find one I wanted however when I saw this one I just had to pick it up; it’s a huge navy featherdown coat and has fur on the hood and a little on the inside, and there are deep pockets and it’s just beautiful and really warm and cosy!
Finally, I bought the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette in Debenhams and it is so beautiful, I haven’t got any pink toned eyeshadow palettes so this will be so so useful for me and I cannot wait to test it out and do a review!
Thats everything I was gifted for Christmas and bought for myself on Boxing day. I’m so grateful to everybody who gifted me anything and all my family, I hope you had such a wonderful Christmas and got everything you wanted. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
