Hello everyone, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
I’m feeling very chirpy, but this is because I’m breaking up from school for the holidays tomorrow, which is quite late compared to most schools but I am very excited because that means it is very nearly almost christmas.
And if you haven’t guessed yet, after 19 successful days of writing about the topic every single day, I am VERY excited for Christmas.
Anyway, I thought that for today’s post I would write a little about what I’m doing this Christmas, as it’s quite different to my usual Christmas festivities, and I’m rather excited for it.
So, this Christmas I’m actually not staying at home. For those of you who’ve been around for some time, you’ll probably know that in May 2016 I moved from the North of England, all the way down to the South. I now live around about six hours away from where I used to live, but I really love it down here and wouldn’t wish for anything else (as a speedy little side note, if anyone ever wanted a post about my journey moving across the country, I’d love to do one for you!). This year, instead of my Grandparents coming to stay with us for Christmas, we’re heading up north to see them! I’m quite excited to head back and see what it’s like, although I imagine grey and dull as ever, but I’m particularly excited for Boxing day as we’re staying in Leeds in a hotel opposite all the shops, which means I will be taking quite the look in the boxing day sales.
So, we’re going to be setting off early doors on Christmas Eve (meaning I’ll be stuck in the car for most of the day on one of my favourite festive occasions) and arriving in a hotel near my Grandparents house, which I’m really looking forward to. We’re going to then head to my grandparents house to see them on Christmas eve, and go back to the hotel and probably have an Italian at the restaurant, which I am very excited for. Because we’ll have time to kill, I imagine a trip to the pool and jacuzzi will be in order (well, definitely for me!) and then up to the hotel room to chill and go to bed.
Then it will be Christmas day, and I’ll be opening my presents in somewhere other than my house, with my tree and all the cosy decorations, which I think will be quite weird and I’m not 100% sure how I’m feeling about it, but for me the run up to Christmas is always better than the day itself so I’m sure I wont mind too much! Then we’ll have breakfast and pack up, and head to my Grandparents for Christmas Dinner and to open presents and have a lovely festive time!
After that, we’re headed into our hotel in Leeds which I’ve been to before and I love, we’ve also got a really nice room so I may or may not do a tour of that on my instagram story! Make sure you’ve got your eyes peeled. I imagine that evening will be chilled and a really cosy night, we might go on a bit of a wander or sit and have drinks in the bar. Then, we wake up on boxing day and I go and shop like some headless chicken (or at least that’s the plan!) and then we’re headed back home to Wiltshire. I’m sure I’ll be glad to be back home, as I’ll be able to put all my presents away in my room and be with all my festive decorations again! A few days after it’ll be my brothers birthday, and then New Years, so the festivities never stop in December!
I want to do another ‘A Week In My Life Post’, but a Christmas edition, where I’ll do a blog post documenting all of my Christmas and the time after it! If you guys would like to see that, make sure to tell me so in the comments. I hope you enjoyed this quick post, and I’ll see you all tomorrow with another post!
