Today’s post is going to be all about my beauty essentials for winter, what products I love and use religiously in order to keep my makeup and skin feeling and looking fresh all day long. It’s actually a collaboration with Lou Loves, her blog is here and she is doing a post all about her beauty essentials for winter, so make sure to go and check it out!
My first winter beauty essential has to be the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. This is my go to winter eyeshadow palette because it’s so easy to create a multitude of different looks from it; it goes from glam to everyday and it’s so versatile. It’s going to be the perfect palette to take away with me when I go back up North for Christmas, I’ll be able to do many an eyeshadow look with it! My favourite shade has to be either Creme Brulee or Cherry Cordial; the two together are absolutely stunning and so festive.
And what other than the Urban Decay Primer Potion to ensure that my eyeshadow stays all day and night long without budging or creasing! This is definitely an essential as it creates a flawless base for the application of my eyeshadow and makes sure nothing moves around, plus it makes my shadows look more pigmented!
I hate having chapped lips, and you can always find me with a lip balm, but this peppermint scented one from Burt’s Bees is my all time favourite for the winter; it’s got a gorgeous, festive scent and the peppermint is very cooling on your lips. It is incredibly moisturising and always protects my lips against the harsh cold, and my lips are always soft and rarely chapped!
Lipstick is definitely something I wear more in winter, and I love this red, glossy one from Kiko. It is the perfect christmas red, but isn’t too intense so is definitely wearable. It’s a glossy finish and doesn’t feel sticky when it’s on, plus it’s also very moisturising. It lasts a good while as well!
My final essential for winter is a good concealer which won’t fade, which is why I love the collection lasting perfection concealer, which always keeps my face looking fresh and good in the winter time!
They’re all my essentials for this winter beauty wise! What are your essentials? Make sure you check out Louise’s blog for her post all about her essentials!
