Hello everybody and happy blogmas day 11! We’re nearly halfway through, which is mad.
So, if you live in the U.K. you’ll more than likely know that, yesterday, the 10th of December, we got a lot of snow. Well, most of us did – and those of us who did not are severely disgruntled!!
I woke up, and naturally checked twitter and Instagram to be bombarded with beautiful snowy scenes everywhere and all I could think was ‘I really wish it would snow here’. Luckily for me, it did snow but it had rained before and both the ground and snow were too wet to settle, resulting in a highly grey, damp looking scene for me as opposed to the winter wonderland I’d been hoping for! I mean, some places even have snow days today – how is that fair! For those of you who don’t know, I live in Wiltshire, the area of Wiltshire that got very very little snow – I’m used to decent snow though as I used to live in Yorkshire (the north of England) and when it snowed it would snow pretty heavily.
Anyway, instead of continuing my moaning and commiserating, I figured I’d share some pitifully non-snowy pictures I took when I made a very chilly trip out into my garden this afternoon.
As you can see, the snow was practically a none existent frost. It’s really a shame, as all the festive pictures I saw on my Instagram got me feeling so Christmassy. I suppose I can hope for snow today but I doubt I’ll be getting any. If you couldn’t already tell, I am really upset that we barely got any snow. Has it snowed where you are?? If it has, I am truly very jealous!
