Hi everyone and merry Christmas!
It’s the third day of blogmas and I am feeling well and truly festive – I could say I’ve decided to decorate my room today, but in reality it’s been done since about the 17th November! Anyway, I’ve taken some pictures so I can explain to you exactly how I’ve gone and made my room all festive this year!
Starting with the main part of my decorations; my tree! I love this tree, it’s 6ft tall and I’m so glad I have a room big enough to fit such a big tree in because it truly does make December that bit more festive for me! Having a tree in my room is going to make me feel less upset whilst I’m revising too I think.
My tree is decorated with the same decorations and very similarly to last year, a post which you can read here (and from a somewhat failed blogmas!), however this year I have decided to attach some little Christmas crackers onto it to add some more dimension. I got these in the sales back in October in paperchase, and they each have a little Christmas peg inside of them, I think they’re so festive and cute! I’ve still got to get some tree chocolates to put on there too!
The next thing in my room is probably this little silver bowl of pine cones, which is more of an all year placement but I do feel it is quite festive!
I also have many candles around my room, the first of which is one from Wilkos. It’s called cinnamon spice and smells very festive, but also kind of like calpol or some other medicine, which is quite odd! I do love the smell and the packaging has a lovely red Christmas design; I always burn this when I’m revising and it makes my room smell so good.
The next candle I have is on my bedside table by my advent calendar. It’s the Christmas Eve scent by Yankee Candle and I have it every single year, it’s the best smell (along with Christmas Memories). This is a gorgeous mouse votive holder which I pop it in, also from Yankee Candle. My advent calendar this year is a Thornton’s one, and I can’t wait to tuck into those every morning!
Then I have this gorgeous robin decoration above my bedside table, which was also featured in last years post.
The final Christmassy touch to my room is not yet completed, as I’m waiting to (hopefully!) receive some Christmas cards to pin up on it!! I have this string with some adorable Santa pegs on it ready to hang all my cards and make it very festive.
I’ve also added some copper wire fairy lights to my headboard and I find it so festive and really cosy to have these on as well as my Christmas tree lights, as my tree is next to my bed!
So, that’s all for this post. Have you decorated your bedroom for Christmas? I like to go all out and trim up as Christmas is truly my favourite time of year. I’ll see you all tomorrow with another blogmas post!
