This post is not sponsored, I just really love this and want to tell you guys all about it!
Todays blogmas post is a little early, but fear not, I have a scheduled post going up at 6PM tonight, but I needed to share this with you early on in December so you could all enjoy it as much as I am.
A few days ago, my Auntie sent my mum a link to an interactive advent calendar, and only now have I logged into it and discovered how truly wonderful it is! When I logged in this morning, I had to catch up on yesterdays activity behind bauble number one, which was to decorate the christmas tree, and then door number two was a beautifully festive skiing video.
The virtual advent calendar, which you can buy here for only three pounds (believe me, this is worth it – it’s the most fun I’ve had all year!) is an alpine town, which is bigger than it looks as you can scroll from side to side on it. Every day there is a bauble to open, which will be highlighted in red with all the one’s you’ve opened already in green. Sometimes theres an activity, such as decorating the tree and other times it’s a perfectly festive video. The advent calendar is SUPER interactive, the sky changes colour as yours does; if you’re opening at night, the village will be dark and cosy, if you’re opening during the day the village will be bright, and if you open as the sun rises then the exact same will happen on the advent calendar! The more doors you open and things you do, the more lights come on in the village and the more villagers find their way to your advent scene; people will sit outside of the coffee shops and be seen walking their dogs more frequently. I can’t wait to carry on with the month and see what exciting things I get to do. It plays gorgeous festive songs in the background too!
The fun doesn’t stop at opening each day up, there’s a beautifully designed and extremely cosy castle where beautiful animals reside; two lovely dogs and two adorable kittens, the ginger one looking much like my cat which makes me VERY happy! Inside of the castle there are so many things to do; you can do puzzles, make your own snowflakes, play a candy crush esque game and even read Christmas stories. Simply watching the cats and dogs move around is good enough for me; they always sleep or wander about in different places each time you go into the castle!
Jacquie Lawson is an incredibly talented illustrator and she’s made this feel so festive and beautiful. I’m so glad I’ve got one because this is going to make my december so lovely. The fact that you can email someone a code to this too is so lovely, it would make the perfect gift – no matter how late you send it you can always go back and work on the previous doors!
I hope you all enjoyed this post, I love sharing things with you guys that I enjoy and this was just too good to pass by! If you want to buy this, you can do so here and I’d love to hear what you think of it in the comments! For three pounds it’s something I’ll be buying every single December.
