Oh no. She’s doing blogmas again. We all know how well that went last year, and the year before that. Horribly, that is the answer.
But now, I’m here and filled with all of the christmas spirit I could possibly muster up (which, believe me, is one hell of a lot) during possibly the most stressful time of my life as of yet (thats right, my mocks are in January) and I’m here to bring you a post every single day up until Christmas Eve. Thats right, 24 festive posts from yours truly, all starting today with my Bucket List!
Also, have you put your tree up yet? I have and IM SO EXCITED!
SEE THE SNOW
I would LOVE it if there was any snow this year. It’s unlikely, and made even more unlikely by the fact that I now live in the south of England and not the north. However, you never know and I’m hoping it might snow – it’s October when I’m writing this and the weather is SO CHILLY so that’s always a promising sign, right?
MAKE MINCE PIES
I’ve wanted to do this every year for like three years now, but never have I managed to find time! This year it is my mission to make a yummy batch of mince pies which are perfectly festive!
GO TO THE GARDEN CENTER
Wow, how festive.
Clearly you aren’t aware of just how festive my local garden centre is. They’ve got an ice rink, and reindeers and all the decorations you could ever want, and I didn’t get the chance to visit last year so I’m making it top priority that we go this year: I need some new decorations anyway, as I buy some every year, so this should be perfect.
DO WELL ON MY MOCKS
I know, not very festive at all but it’s true: my year 11 GCSE mocks are looming ever closer and I’d really like to do well on them as they’re what sixth forms look at to give you an offer. If I do well, it means I can go to a sixth form that I really like and do the A-Levels I want to do.
MAKE MY ROOM ALL CHRISTMASSY
Yes, I do this every year but this time I’m really pushing the boat out. I’m talking full sized tree, festive decorations EVERYWHERE, fairy lights as far as the eye can see; it’s going to be magical.
Obviously this is somewhat of a given, me doing this and everything, but this December I really want to make sure I successfully complete blogmas!
SPEND MORE TIME OUTDOORS
Are you mad?
Possibly, yes. But where I live is so pretty, I really want to spend more time walking in the outdoors and experiencing the place at christmas, plus I could take some good pictures if the UK promises not to be rainy, gray and bitterly cold.
BUY A CHRISTMAS CANDLE
I’m yet to get my hands on a good christmas candle to see me through, so any suggestions are widely appreciated!
I remember in first school and when I was younger, I used to make pomanders, which are oranges with cloves stuck in them and sometimes ribbon tied around them. The smell of them always makes me feel so festive so I really want to make some again!
TRY SOME CHRISTMAS PINTEREST CRAFTS
I’m shockingly bad at anything craft related, but it’d be fun to try and make some christmas related ornaments for my room or something. Blogmas post anyone?
Okay so thats all I can think of so far, maybe I’ll come back and add to this post every so often, and update you guys on what I have or haven’t completed!
Happy Blogmas Day 1, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
