Recently SebaMed offered to send me out some skincare bits to try, and I was so excited when they arrived. I’ve never tried a brand like SebaMed before, so these products were very new to me but nonetheless I really enjoyed using them! A huge thank you to the team from SebaMed for sending these out to me, I’ve loved testing them out the past couple of weeks!
The first thing I was sent was the Hand + Nail Balm. This claimed to do a lot on the packaging, which I at first thought might be somewhat of a bold claim, however I can assure you it is not! It says that it moisturises and protects sensitive skin, soothes irritated skin and strengthens the nails with hydrolyzed keratin and panthenol. I can 100% say this has been good for my dry hands this past few weeks as it has been very cold, and not once has it been irritating! It has a very fresh however almost medical sort of smell, if you can have a medical smell (here she goes again, explaining scents to the best of her ability), however it does feel like it is doing a very intense job of moisturising your hands. This also does strengthen the nails, or at least I have noticed that it does, which makes it a wonderful daily balm as it is targeting multiple problem areas on the hands.
It has a PH of 5.5, which is close to neutral on the PH scale and is the correct sort of PH for our skin, unlike most conventional products which have PHs of 9-11 which are far too alkaline.
The next thing I was sent was the Lip Defence which has SPF30. It is especially good for dry and chapped lips and has ingredients like jojoba oil and vitamin E. It says the vitamin E regenerates chapped lips, while plant oils nurture sensitive lips. It is also perfect for all seasons of the year (not just summer!!) where we need to protect our lips with an SPF, and this one is quite high for a lip balm. It’s packaging is very modern looking, and I love the green and pink them – it feels quite clean and crisp. It is in a stick format which I think is perfect for when you’re on the go, and the lid definitely wouldn’t pop off in your bag and result in the lipbalm being coated in all sorts of dirt. I think that the more you use this, the easier it is to use and the better results you’ll see; the first time I used it, the lip balm was somewhat hard and felt slightly rubbery on the lips however with increased use it has glided on much more effectively and is making sure my lips stay free from any nasty chapped looks this winter!
Just below here is the PH Ruler that SebaMed sent me, which is really useful in understanding the PH levels of their skincare compared to conventional brands. If you want to take a look, feel free!
So, thats it for this review post! What do you think of SebaMed? I’m so glad I got the opportunity to try them out, and can’t wait to get my hands on some more products.
