A Weekend In My Life | 3rd November – 5th November

A few weeks ago now I did a ‘Week In My Life‘ post, almost styled like a series of diary entries but more just rambling on about my week and what was going on.  You guys really seemed to like it, and while none of my weeks in November are going to be very exciting at all (mocks are on the way, and unless you call school, revision and a rouge orthodontist appointment exciting I think you’ll really forgive me for not doing a week in my life post about any of November!) I did have quite a busy weekend last weekend so I thought I’d share it with you!  This is all being written on the Sunday evening, so it’s not a day to day style post, but I hope you like it nonetheless!

This evening when I had got home from school, it was a bit of a mad rush to get ready to go out with a few of my friends to the cinema.  I was doing something Friday and Saturday night, which was not ideal considering I had so much homework to do and a whole unit of coursework due on Tuesday that I basically hadn’t even started!  However, I got ready and my Dad dropped us off at the cinema, when we went to buy tickets for A Murder On The Orient Express.  After we’d bought our tickets, we headed to Frankie and Bennys for tea, this restaurant is definitely one of my faves.  I had potato skins and chips, which probably couldn’t be more carb-filled if I had tried, but it was so good and I really enjoyed it!

After tea, we had a little time to kill so we headed to Tesco to buy cheap sweets for the film, seen as the prices at the Odeon near me are so extortionate (seriously, you’d have to sell your family to buy a popcorn!).  I wasn’t actually in the mood for much, so I got a malteser chocolate reindeer which was super yummy, and it made me so happy that christmas sweets were finally on their way out in the shops!

We got back to the cinema, and I just had to buy a christmas hot chocolate from costa!  I got the black forest one, seen as it’s my favourite, and it was SO NICE!! It came in the little festive cup and I was just more than ready for christmas at this point (is it too early?).

Anyway, after this we went in to see the film, and I thought it was quite good.  Detective movies aren’t really my thing, but for what it was I did enjoy it, but I probably wouldn’t go see another.  They did do it really well, and the cast was amazing.  I didn’t expect the ending to be as it was, however I did really like how it all unravelled and made sense.

After that I got home quite late, it was about 11pm, and I was so tired that I just went to bed!

I woke up really early today! It was around about 8am and then I got up, got dressed and got on with my homework.  I had an entire unit of coursework to do, but started off with my maths as it was only going to take me a few minutes – my teacher had been very kind and set us a really small and pretty easy homework to complete.  After that, I just got on with my food technology coursework and finished about half of the work that I had to complete, writing up my practical evaluations and huge A3 comparison sheets – it was pretty torturous!  Anyway, at 5pm a few friends came around my house and we gave them a lift to a local bonfire, where basically everyone from our friendship group was.  We stayed a good few hours, I ate a hotdog and we watched the fireworks and stood around the bonfire, it was really lovely and I had such a good night.

This is a very bad picture of me, in my big old bobble hat (it made me very happy that I could wear my hat and scarf to the bonfire, it was super chilly!) stood in front of the bonfire, which was very warm and cosy.

This was probably the best picture of the fireworks that I got, but all of them were so amazing and I spammed my instagram story with them just a little too much, so if you were over on there over the weekend you’d have probably seen them!

After I got home at about 10pm, I was super tired so I just took of my makeup, got into cosy pyjamas, watched the new episode of riverdale (which was great!) and went to bed!

I got up quite early again, but really just wanted to cosy up in my bed and sleep because I knew I had an absolute tonne of homework and coursework to get through.  When I got up, I had a shower and a bit of a lazy start just getting ready, but then tackled my homework by starting with a review sheet for geography about Rio.  I then just did my food technology powerpoint all day long, it was seriously the most boring thing ever (why are GCSEs so annoying)!

For tea we had a really cosy buffet dinner around the fire which felt very christmassy and special, and ever since I’ve just been chilling, writing blog posts and planning blogmas posts, all of which I need some free time to write – I should’ve done more in the half term.

I was thinking, do you guys want me to do revision/studying posts, or maybe even study with me posts for the days where I have a lot of homework or revision to do?  I know that mocks are coming up, and I figure it might be useful for some of you!  Lets have a chat in the comments about what GCSE options you’re taking or what exams you do in your country!

I hope you enjoyed this post, which was supposed to be short but actually turned into one of the biggest rambles in my life! Make sure to leave a like if you enjoy these posts, and I’ll do some more in the future!

I’m tempted to watch Murder On The Orient Express. I love murder/detective shows but something just doesn’t grab me the same with this one. I’ll probably just sit tight and wait for it to come onto Netflix. The sweets in ours are £3.50 I think for a bag! Luckily there’s an ASDA just a few minutes away. I remember trying to hide them in my jacket when I was younger when I went to the cinema. Growing up I found out they really don’t care but I still sneak them just incase haha!

Haha someone in our group always brings a huge bag for us to hide sweets in! Always works a charm. I’d really recommend it, detective things aren’t my thing but if you live detective films then you’ll love this – the trailers really don’t do it justice! Thank you so much for reading! X
