Garnier Skin Active Soothing Botanical Toner With Rose Water Review

I’ve recently seen this toner floating about on the internet and really wanted to try it.  I’ve always loved Garnier’s products and got on with them really well, so when my usual toner ran out I figured it was time for me to update to a new one, which is when I decided I’d try the Skin Active Soothing Botanical Toner with Rose Water by Garnier.  I put it on my instagram story asking if you guys wanted a review and everyone said yes, so I decided that’s exactly what I’d do!  You should definitely follow me on instagram, I’m always active on my story and there’s always polls for you to give feedback on my blog and stuff, I’m @lovesophblog_ and you can follow me here!

The first thing I thought was ‘oh my god, this packaging is SO gorgeous!’ – it’s a really beautiful pink bottle with rose petals on it, and a rose on the inside; it makes it look really luxurious which I love.  I often find that toners sometimes have really boring packaging, but certainly not with this one.  It looks so pretty lined up in my bathroom!

When I got it, I was worried that I’d absolutely hate the rose scent as I’m not big on floral scents; rose especially reminds me of old lady smells and I really hate that.  The scent is actually so nice and really subtle too so if you’re also worried that it’s going to be a bit too much or a bit too much of that ‘powdery’ smell, don’t be, because it’s really discreet.  I think that because it’s rose water and not rose extract or anything, it’s been pretty diluted so it’s a really faint smell.

I love using toner.  I know some people say it’s not a necessary part of your skincare routine and sometimes it does more harm than good, it’s something I could never get rid of.  I love the way toners make my skin feel tighter, and fresher and cleaner.  This one in particular is so refreshing and really gentle on the skin, which is perfect for when my skin gets loads drier during winter.  It does still give you that amazing fresh feeling though too and that your skin is super clean.

I really love this toner, and I’d totally reccomend it to anyone who is looking for a really good but gentle toner as the weather gets colder.

Hope you enjoyed this quick review, lots of you asked for it on Instagram so I figured I might as well do one for you all!

Maybe I will give toner a try! I haven’t used a toner in a really long time, because I found that it led to my skin being drier most of the time. I redid my skincare routine though and changed it around and this one seems like it would work!
