I don’t know about you, but I always feel so much more productive when everything in my life is organised. Over the years, especially having been at school, I have developed some ways to organise my life and I find them so useful! I can be a very forgetful person, and in general I lack motivation and sometimes I find myself so unorganised! So, I’ve been and compiled a list filled with organisational tips and ways you can make your life so much easier by organising it!
POST IT NOTES
Post it notes are one of my favourite ways to stay organised! I write basically all of my reminders and stuff onto post it notes and stick them all around my room. If I have some really important homework that I know I’ll forget, I pop it on a post it note and stick it onto my wall, or on the surface of my bedside table so I’ll see it all the time! However, boring old post it notes always look a bit obnoxious on your wall (or at least I think, the bright colours are great for revision but for day to day things they’re pretty bleh) so I always like to use Paperchase sticky notes. They do gorgeous mini books filled with all sorts of sizes of sticky notes. Mine are a few years old now, but you can find similar ones here!
This is my favourite book of sticky notes: you get one side with these huge ones on that are so useful for writing plans for blog posts on, or what coursework I need to complete. The two little tab post it notes are so useful for marking books and folders, and then you have two squared floral patterned sticky notes. The woodland animals are so adorable and I love using them!
And buy a planner!
I use my planner for everything! Again, it’s from paperchase (I clearly love paperchase?) and it’s so useful. It has loads of room to write down all my homework assignments, events I have to attend and any appointments that I have. I love the layout of it, and I don’t think I’d be able to survive without it, especially during the school months. It’s so useful for writing down things like ‘Copy up history notes’ that I know I’d just forget otherwise and that would come to bite me on the backside later on! I write down all of my blog posts that are scheduled to go up and it helps me stay organised.
PRINTABLES ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND
I love using all sorts of printables to organise my life! People are so talented online and make some gorgeous ones! A quick pinterest search can have you drowning in adorable calendars for the month, which are perfect for an at-a-glance-look for what you’re doing that month, or essay planners to help you write the perfect essay. Not only that, but I love blog post planners so much! Tabi from Busy Bee has an amazing blog post ideas planner, with a section for the name of the post and any info, and then another for the date it’s going up (you can find it here in her amazing blog inspiration post!) and I use this all the time, it’s actually in the picture below. I’m a big believer in using printables to plan all sorts of things in my life!
You can find my pinterested board ‘Printables‘ which is totally dedicated to cute and useful print out sheets to help you organise your life!
Those are my top three organisational tips! Have you got any other tips you use to stay organised? If so, let me know in the comments!
